(Almost) Time to Put Away Childish Things

In President Barack Obama’s inaugural address, he said “the time has come to set aside childish things“.

Apparently White House Spokesman Robert Gibbs didn’t get the memo. In a briefing that just followed a surprise visit from the Man himself, Gibbs resorted to mockery usually found in a third grader to poke fun of Sarah Palin’s use of crib notes on her hand. Yes, politics is a tough game, and Mrs. Palin already showed her steely nature by poking fun of herself by writing “Hi Mom” on her hand for an appearance for Texas Governor Rick Perry. However, these kinds of games are unbecoming of the office of the President, which is what Mr. Gibbs represents.

Palin’s hand job just shows all of us what kind of dullard we are up against, I have not seen this since junior high. WOW and some call her a leader….please.

Really? A few words written on her hand compared to the Great Communicator using a teleprompter for every word? And “uh.. uh.. uh…” whenever he’s not in front of a teleprompter? I write notes on my hand all the time. What I haven’t seen since jr. high is how this administration handles those who don’t agree with it. What next? Sarah Palin has cooties?
